NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. (WHTM) – The York County Coroner has announced that the deceased man whose body was found along the bank of the Susquehanna River on Saturday may have been dead for weeks.
The body was found by a fisherman just before 11 a.m. Saturday, south of the Turnpike Bridge in Fairview Township.
York County Coroner Pamela Gay says the man appeared to have been dead for some time, perhaps weeks.
The man has not yet been identified, and there’s no indication as to how he died.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning in Allentown.
